no it isn't. splicing is not good for the connections. cat5/cat5e/cat6 is a definite "NO!" for splicing. it will slow the network connection way down. don't even splice a coax cable. it can cause MAJOR corrosion and that is an accident waiting to happen. DO NOT DO IT!

Looks like they used RG6 copper coated steel and NOT copper braid and center like you should for cameras..

during the Camera install, is it better to Splice or use an adapter, (which is safer),Is it better to run RG6 & cat5 then RG59 Siamese (+Power)???
